    Great piece, David. This is well-researched and thorough.

    I regularly think about these issues as a school administrator and as a parent of three young children. I wish I had the answers. Trying to push students to achieve to the very best of their ability while not pushing them too hard is a delicate balancing act that schools and families often get wrong. Since the appropriate balance point is in a different place for each individual, it’s especially hard for a school to develop policies and practices that work equally well for all students. I’d be interested to hear any thoughts you or others may have on what we might do better here at HHS.
